Share

Pokémon Live: A Pocketful of Adventures, the first official Pokémon live-action series, has quietly begun its international rollout. After premiering in Japan in 2023 and South Korea in 2024, an English-dubbed version has now appeared unexpectedly on Apple TV in certain regions, including Egypt.

PokéTsume Goes Global

Known in Japan as PokéTsume, this live-action series takes a more grounded, human approach to the Pokémon universe. Unlike previous animated adaptations or rumored Netflix projects, *Pokémon Live: A Pocketful of Adventures* tells personal, nostalgic stories that reflect the emotional impact of growing up with Pokémon.

The surprise arrival of the English dub on Apple TV suggests The Pokémon Company may be testing a wider international release, though for now, only a handful of countries appear to have access. An official global release plan has not been announced yet.

What Is PokéTsume?

PokéTsume isn’t a battle-focused series or a direct game adaptation. The story follows a young adult reconnecting with Pokémon during a major life transition, showing how the franchise can influence people at different stages of life. It’s a quiet, character-driven drama about nostalgia, family, and rediscovering wonder through the Pokémon lens.
