Pokémon Sleep is celebrating its second anniversary this July with new starters, daily bonuses, and its biggest in-game event yet. Starting July 13, the Second Anniversary Festival will offer players bonus sleep points, boosted encounter rates, and the arrival of Hoenn’s Treecko, Torchic, and Mudkip for the first time.
Hoenn Starters Join the Sleep Study
Treecko, Torchic, and Mudkip will debut as part of the anniversary celebration. This is the first time these fan-favorite starters from Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire appear in Pokémon Sleep, giving players a reason to revisit or keep logging in daily during the event window.
Anniversary Prelude Event: July 7–14
The official anniversary lands on July 20, but a prelude event will begin July 7 at 04:00 local time and continue until July 14 at 03:59. During this period, players will receive:
🎮 Suggested Reading
- 150 bonus Sleep Points per day
- Increased spawn rates for Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly and their evolutions
- 1.5x Dream Shard rewards after sleep sessions
- Expanded cooking pots (3x on Sundays)
- More diverse Pokémon regardless of sleep type
Where to Find the Featured Pokémon
Different sleep zones will have different Pokémon appearing throughout the event:
- Greengrass Isle: Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly
- Turquoise Beach: Fuecoco, Crocalor, Skeledirge, Quaxly, Quaquaval
- Cyan Caves: Fuecoco and evolutions

How Bonuses Work
The app counts each new day starting at 04:00 local time. Bonuses only apply if the sleep session is recorded during the event. Reviewing pre-event data during the bonus period won’t count, but reviewing post-event data recorded during the event will still activate bonuses.
Second Anniversary Vibes
Between the arrival of the Hoenn trio, quality-of-life boosts, and generous daily rewards, this is shaping up to be one of the biggest events in Pokémon Sleep so far. Whether you’re chasing shinies, rest stats, or just trying to expand your Pokédex, now’s the perfect time to return.
